In a few years, the Armed Forces will have officers professionally trained to conduct psychological defense. Such specialists will be trained at the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This was reported on Thursday in the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the department.
"First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov and State Secretary - Deputy Defense Minister Nikolai Pankov have opened a course on psychological defense at the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," the department informed.
University teachers will not have to start from scratch. The fact is that this military educational institution has been teaching a course of lectures on the organization and conduct of psychological defense for several years. Previously, this was done as part of additional professional education in the field of information counteraction. Now this course will form the basis for teaching a new "regular" discipline. It will become mandatory for study not only by cadets and trainees, but also by the teaching staff of the humanities departments of both the Military University itself and other universities of the Ministry that train personnel for the military-political bodies of the Armed Forces.
"More than five years of experience in the implementation of the projects "Army and Society", "Psychological Defense" on the basis of the Military University has allowed us to combine the potential of the country's best experts, reputable teachers and scientists, as well as leading military practitioners," said First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov. "The relevance of the course stems from the emerging military-political situation, which requires a qualitative comprehensive analysis and forecasting, as well as personnel equipment of the main directions of development of non-military means of ensuring security."
