As reported, the PG-29V rocket-propelled grenade used with two consecutive shaped charges is capable of piercing more than 650 mm of armored steel or 1500 mm of reinforced concrete. The mass of the shot is 6700 gr. The rate of fire can reach up to 4 rounds per minute.
The enemy's maneuvering equipment is hit at a distance of about half a kilometer. The maximum firing range is 800 meters. At the same time, the initial speed of the grenade reaches 255 m / s. Accuracy is ensured by the presence of a special optical device, in the dark it is replaced by a night sight.
Also, a fire control device has been developed for him, which allows him to detect targets at a distance of 1000 meters.
The weight of the grenade launcher with a sight is 12 kg. The length in the marching position is 1000 mm, in combat - 1850 mm.
Earlier, the effectiveness of this combat vehicle was demonstrated in several hot spots.
The Vampire is not the only Russian-made anti-tank weapon in the Algerian armed forces. Kornet guided missiles are very popular here, which have been seen on BMP-2M infantry fighting vehicles, BTR-60PB and BTR-80 armored personnel carriers, as well as on AML 90 light armored vehicles and Land Rover Defender all-terrain vehicles.
