Russia will present Vityaz and Abakan air defense systems abroad for the first time at the Dubai Airshow

MOSCOW, November 11. /tass/. The foreign premieres of the S-350E Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) and the 98P6E Abakan anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) will take place within the framework of the Dubai Airshow 2021 international Airshow, which will be held from November 14 to 18 in the United Arab Emirates. This was reported to journalists on Thursday in the press service of the concern of East Kazakhstan region "Almaz-Antey".

"For the first time abroad, at its Dubai Airshow exposition, the concern will present the S-350E Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system, as well as the 98P6E Abakan anti-aircraft missile system, designed to defeat modern and promising tactical and operational-tactical ballistic missiles," the press service said.

The Abakan complex is a reliable means of combating the most dangerous ballistic targets and allows you to conduct combat operations both as part of the air defense group and independently. The Vityaz system is designed to defend administrative, industrial and military facilities from massive strikes of various types of modern and promising means of air attack.

On the eve of the exhibition, Yan Novikov, General Director of Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region, said that expanding its presence in the international arms market is a basic direction for the holding. "We hope that this time we will be able to reach new mutually beneficial agreements, as a result of which the concern will receive contracts, and the customer will receive security and peaceful skies," the press service quotes the CEO as saying.

As told in Almaz-Antey, the concern's stand will also feature models of air defense systems from large to small range: S-400 Triumph air defense systems, Viking and Tor air defense systems. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the Sula space object surveillance radar station, as well as the ROSC-1 drone neutralization radar and optical complex. The Wolf-18 drone, which is part of it, can be used to destroy intruder drones at airports if it is impossible to use electronic suppression equipment.
