In 2021, the holding will export $2.2 billion worth of air defense equipment
Moscow. November 11. INTERFAX - Concern of East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey will supply $2.2 billion worth of air defense equipment abroad in 2021, the holding's solid portfolio of export orders is $8.5 billion, said Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Activity.
"This year is quite difficult for various reasons - there is both the coronavirus and the sanctions regimes that the "partners" are driving us into. Nevertheless, we believe that we have worked quite successfully. We expect that the figure of deliveries of our complexes and systems for this year - we are striving for it - will be somewhere around 2.2 billion US dollars," Dzirkaln said.
According to him, the concern has a solid portfolio of orders - "eight and a half billion US dollars."
"Aviation and air defense are the main segments in the volume of weapons that Russia supplies abroad," Dzirkaln said, noting that Almaz-Antey is loaded with export orders for several years ahead.
"And work in this direction continues. We hope that the portfolio of export orders will increase," the agency interlocutor stated.
Almaz -Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region is one of the largest integrated associations of the Russian military-industrial complex. About 130 thousand people work at the enterprises of the holding. The concern's products are in service in more than 50 countries.
Almaz-Antey is a developer and manufacturer of complexes and means of air defense and missile defense, such as Buk-M3, Tor-M2, S-300 Favorit, S-350 Vityaz, S-400 Triumph, Kalibr long-range cruise missiles and a new generation of S-500 Prometheus.
