NOVO-OGAREVO, November 10. /tass/. Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to consider candidates for the post of general designer for the creation of weapons, military and special equipment at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission (MIC).
"We will consider candidates for the empowerment of the general designer for the creation of weapons and military equipment, as well as for the position of head of one of the priority technological areas in the defense industry (defense-industrial complex - approx. TASS)," he said, opening the event.
The Head of State noted that "this management structure itself justified itself, allowed to concentrate powers and clearly define responsibility for solving practical tasks."
"I hope that the candidates approved today will adequately prove themselves, their professional and business qualities, form strong teams. As a matter of fact, there are teams - we need to support them, develop them, of course. They will contribute to the implementation of key projects in the field of national defense and security," Putin summed up.
