MOSCOW, November 10. /tass/. An extended-range guided missile was created in the Russian Federation for the Grad and Tornado-G MLRS. This is stated in the message of Technodinamika (part of Rostec), distributed on Wednesday.

"The developed guided missile increases the accuracy of firing in comparison with standard MLRS ammunition of 122 mm caliber, increases the firing range due to the formation of a sub-planning area, reduces the consumption of charges and allows you to hit several spaced point targets with a salvo of one combat vehicle without retargeting a package of guides," the message says following the awarding of the winners of the N. A. Makarovets award in the field of ammunition and special chemistry.

As specified in the press service, the ammunition can be used in multiple launch rocket systems "Grad", "Tornado-G", as well as in the complex of unguided rocket weapons of ship-based A-215 "Grad-M".

The team of JSC "Scientific and Production Association "Alloy" for the development of the projectile became the winner of the award in the nomination "For contribution to improving the competitiveness of products". The award ceremony was held on Wednesday.
