On Wednesday in New Delhi, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, as well as the secretaries of the Security Councils of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, India, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. On November 10, all of them participated in the multilateral consultations of the secretaries of the Security Councils of 8 countries on the Afghan issue.
As the official representative of the Russian Security Council, Yevgeny Anoshin, told the correspondent of "RG", during the conversation with Modi, regional security issues were discussed in connection with the situation in Afghanistan. According to him, following the consultations, the national security advisers and the secretaries of the Security Councils reiterated their strong support for a peaceful, secure and stable Afghanistan, while emphasizing respect for its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, as well as non-interference in its internal affairs.
They also condemned terrorist attacks in various provinces and cities of Afghanistan, saying that the country's territory should not be used for hiding and training terrorists.
In addition, the National Security advisers stressed the need to form an open and truly inclusive government representing the will of the entire people of Afghanistan, which will include representatives of all major ethno-political forces. Representatives of all eight countries also stated that a prerequisite for a successful national reconciliation process in the country is the inclusion of all segments of society in the administration and political structure.
