MOSCOW, November 9/ Sputnik Radio. Russian specialists are developing a new S-550 anti-aircraft missile system, RIA Novosti reports, citing a statement by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
The Minister noted that at the meetings held in Sochi in early November, Russian Leader Vladimir Putin "placed special emphasis on the importance of advancing the development of domestic air defense systems, the supply of S-350, S-500, S-550 systems to the Armed Forces."
At the same time, Shoigu did not specify any characteristics of the new system.
Earlier, Sputnik radio reported that the Russian Federation will spend more than 3.5 trillion rubles on military spending in 2022.
