MOSCOW, Nov 8 - RIA Novosti. Russia and Belarus signed a protocol on extending the operation of the military communications center of the missile attack warning system (SPRN) in Baranovichi for 25 years, the corresponding document was posted on the legal information portal on Monday.
The document was signed by the heads of government of the two countries on October 20, 2021.
According to the protocol, the parties extend for 25 years the validity of the agreement on the maintenance of the SPRN system node in Baranovichi dated January 6, 1995.
Earlier, the head of the main center for warning about a missile attack of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation, Andrei Revenok, said that the Russian station in Baranovichi will be able to monitor the US missile defense system in Europe.
