The ceasefire regime is not fully maintained, not all Armenian prisoners of war have been returned from Azerbaijan
Yerevan. November 7. INTERFAX - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highly appreciates the role of Russian peacekeepers in ensuring security in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"The first point of the trilateral statement (signed by the heads of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan on Karabakh on November 9, 2020 - IF) concerns the ceasefire and all hostilities. We can record that the war was stopped after the signing of this statement. I highly appreciate the role of Russia and the efforts of the President of Russia in this sense," Pashinyan said in an interview with Armenian Public Television on Sunday evening.
According to him, one of the important points of the statement has been fully implemented - Russian peacekeepers are stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor, which connects Armenia with Nagorno-Karabakh.
"We highly appreciate their activities. They play a key role in ensuring security, and this should be fixed," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, he stated that the ceasefire regime is not fully maintained, and Armenian prisoners of war have not been returned from Azerbaijan.
