On Sunday, the press service of the Central Military District reported that military contingents of six states of the Organization arrived in Tatarstan for the joint exercise "Indestructible Brotherhood -2021" of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO.
These large-scale maneuvers will take place from November 8 to 12 at the training ground of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School.
Peacekeeping units and military police from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will participate in them. As well as operational groups of the Joint Staff and the CSTO Secretariat, the formation of internal affairs bodies (police), national guards, authorized bodies in the field of prevention and elimination of consequences of emergency situations.
The overall management of the joint exercise will be carried out by the commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.
The press service of the Central Military District said that the solemn reception of the participants of the maneuvers was organized in the Kazan Expo complex in compliance with all necessary sanitary measures in the conditions of a pandemic. So, before the traditional meeting of the personnel with bread and salt, all servicemen underwent thermometry. They checked the results of PCR tests and vaccination certificates.
Earlier, military equipment of the Republic of Belarus, including BTR-82 armored personnel carriers, Tiger armored vehicles and MAZ military vehicles were delivered to Kazan by rail.
"All the equipment was disinfected after unloading from the railway platforms. The rest of the military contingents will be given Russian military equipment during the exercise," the press service of the district informed.
