The composition of the air defense forces on duty in Belarus has been strengthened in response to the situation that is developing around the air borders of the countries.
This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
"As part of the strengthening of the air defense forces on duty, the 6th anti-aircraft missile division of military unit 30151 has taken over combat duty to protect the country's air borders," the report says.
The commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces, Major General Igor Golub, noted that "we have strengthened the composition of the air defense forces on duty of our anti-aircraft missile formations and military units." "This is an adequate response to the situation that is developing around the air borders of Belarus," the general stressed.
The Ministry of Defense observes a significant increase in the intensity of flights of both combat and reconnaissance aircraft near the Belarusian borders, the report says. According to Golub, "more than 60 such flights were recorded last week alone."
