Washington. November 4th. INTERFAX - The United States is concerned about the data on the difficult humanitarian situation in North Korea and is ready to participate in solving this problem, State Department spokesman Ned Price said on Thursday.
"We are concerned about the humanitarian situation in the DPRK, we are working with our allies and partners to determine how we can support the humanitarian needs of the people of North Korea," Price said.
He noted that the United States is ready to support the residents of the DPRK, despite disagreements with Pyongyang.
He also recalled that the United States calls on all countries to implement UN sanctions against the DPRK.
"We remain committed to our sanctions and call on all UN members to fulfill their sanctions obligations in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions in order to limit the DPRK's ability to acquire resources and technologies necessary for their threatening and illegal programs to develop weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles," the State Department spokesman said.
