Sevastopol. November 4th. INTERFAX - The updated military doctrine and the Concept of the migration Policy of the Union State were approved at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of Russia and Belarus.
The documents were approved by the Presidents of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
These documents are included in the main directions of implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State for 2021-2023.
The Secretary of State of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Dmitry Mezentsev, speaking about these documents, noted that their adoption "is due to a change in the military-political situation in the region, the emergence of new threats and challenges for Russia and Belarus, unprecedented pressure on our countries."
"The new military doctrine will make it possible to increase the level of coherence of defense policy, to adapt the tasks of the Ministries of defense in a timely manner, taking into account the changes in the military-political situation in the region," Mezentsev said.
He stressed that a high level of cooperation in the field of defense between Russia and Belarus has been achieved, and this indicates that the borders of the Union State are reliably protected.
Speaking about the concept of the migration policy of the Union State, he noted that the document will determine the direction of the activities of the Ministries of Internal Affairs, security agencies, border services, foreign policy agencies in the field of migration, taking into account the new realities caused by the increase in migration flows.
