Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin received in Moscow the head of the US CIA William Burns.
Cooperation in the fight against terrorism was discussed with the Americans, the SVR reported.
"The director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Naryshkin, on the initiative of the American side, received the director of the US CIA, Burns," the press bureau of the SVR said in a statement.
"The focus was on issues of interdepartmental cooperation in the context of Russian-American relations with an emphasis on the fight against international terrorism," the report says.
