"Regarding future negotiations with him (with Xi Jinping - IF) in a virtual format, the exact date of which has not yet been set, I want there to be no misunderstanding: this is a rivalry, not a conflict," Biden said at a press conference.
He noted that he had been in contact with Xi Jinping for a long time, including when he held the position of vice President of the United States.
According to the president, he told Xi Jinping about Washington's desire for Beijing to "play by the rules." In this context, Biden mentioned the norms of behavior in the air and sea spaces, the need to work on the security of cyberspace.
