The main topic will be security in the region against the background of the Afghan aggravation.
The Indian authorities expect that high-ranking officials from Russia, Pakistan, China, Iran, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will arrive at the meeting of representatives of the national security services.
This was announced before the end of his mission by Indian Ambassador to Russia Bala Venkatesh Varma.
Especially in Delhi, the visit of the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev is expected, the ambassador added in a dialogue with TASS.
"This will be followed by a meeting of high-ranking representatives of the national security services of the countries of the region, which is planned in India on November 10. General Patrushev was invited, and there is a high probability that he will come. We are still waiting for confirmation, but he will be a very welcome participant in the dialogue," the ambassador said.
The diplomat highlighted separately that consultations of the Russian Federation and India on Afghanistan are held at various levels.
