MOSCOW, Nov 2 - RIA Novosti. Russia can supply the latest S-500 anti-aircraft missile systems to China and India, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, said in an interview with RBC.
On November 1, President Vladimir Putin announced plans to supply the first serial model of the S-500 to the army.
"When this system is delivered to the Armed Forces in the required volume, it will also be possible to export it. We consider India, as well as China, and all those states with whom we have long-standing, partnership and predictable relations, as the future owners of this newest system," Shugaev said.
He added that the FSVTS intends to "consider potential applications individually in each case."
The S-500 Prometheus (ROC Triumfator-M) belongs to a new generation of ground-to-air air defense systems. It is a universal long-range and high-altitude interception complex with an increased missile defense potential. The radius of destruction of this system is about 600 kilometers.
