MOSCOW, November 2. /tass/. A dozen countries are showing interest in buying Russian S-400 air defense systems. This was announced in an interview with RBC by the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) Dmitry Shugaev.
"A dozen countries are showing very keen interest," he said.
As Shugaev explained, the procedure for signing a contract for the sale of S-400 systems to foreign customers is multi-stage and complex. All possible conditions and details of potential delivery are taken into account, the presence of certain reserves in the industry for the workload of the state defense order, which remains a priority. "Thus: ten applications are not ten countries that are already ready to sign a contract," the head of the Federal Customs Service noted.
He also said that he sees no obstacles to the potential supply of the S-400 system to Belarus.
