Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), named the most popular Russian weapons among foreigners. He told about this in an interview with RBC.
According to him, Russian S-400 air defense systems, Pantsir-S1 missile and cannon complexes, as well as the entire line of aviation equipment, Kornet anti-tank systems and Smerch MLRS are in the greatest demand among foreign customers. At the same time, Shugaev noted that at least 50 percent of Russian exports account for aviation equipment. The portfolio of orders for the export of Russian weapons is about $ 52 billion, he said.
Shugaev also noted that Russia cooperates on military-technical lines with 100 countries and supplies its goods to more than 50 states. Among the main importers of Russian weapons, he named China, India, countries of the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America. In addition, the director of the FSMTC stressed that the international sanctions imposed on Moscow did not affect the geography of Russian arms supplies in the world.
Earlier it was reported that Russian anti-aircraft gunners will receive new portable air defense missile systems (MANPADS) "Willow". It was decided to re-equip the units of the Southern Military District (SE). The military will receive complexes and additional equipment. Thus, automated control systems, Harmon radar stations and armored vehicles will be placed at the disposal of anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District.
