MOSCOW, November 1. /tass/. A group of deputies has submitted to the State Duma a bill on granting conscripts serving on conscription the right to conclude a contract with the FSB of Russia. This was reported on Monday in the press service of the head of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Vasily Piskarev, who is one of the authors of the initiative.
"Conscripts who received secondary vocational education before conscription are offered the right to conclude a contract for service in the FSB," the report says.
As Piskarev noted, the authors of the initiative took into account the established practice, "when soldiers who have accumulated experience and achieved success in their military specialty are offered to sign a contract during their service." This practice exists now both in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and in the rescue formations of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the troops of the Russian Guard, as well as in the SVR and FSO, he noted. According to the deputy, the extension of this norm to the FSB "will serve to strengthen its personnel and expand the sources of replenishment of security agencies with young promising specialists." The initiative was also co-authored by the head of the Duma Defense Committee Andrey Kartapolov.
