TSAMTO, November 1. Control test firing of S-300PS anti-aircraft missile systems, which have undergone major repairs and modernization, has been completed at the Saryshagan training ground in the Karaganda region.
Missile launches were carried out by combat calculations of military units of air defense. The shooting was carried out on air targets simulating ballistic missiles during the day and at night.
"Today we are completing the acceptance of the complexes, the equipment will go to the troops and will be on combat duty to protect the air borders of our state–" said the Commander-in-chief of the Air Defense Forces, Lieutenant General of Aviation Nurlan Ormanbetov. "Our combat crews were involved in the acceptance, which gained additional practical experience during practical missile launches."
Anti-aircraft missile systems will be transferred to military units of the Air Defense Forces for combat duty to protect the airspace of Kazakhstan.
