NATO is not interested in developing cooperation and bilateral relations with Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on October 31, answering a question from journalists about whether there are signals from the alliance indicating readiness to restore dialogue.
"We rely on facts, and the facts are that NATO does not want any interaction with us," the Russian minister said.
Lavrov said that when the Russia-NATO Council was working, the representatives of the alliance only wanted to "teach us life", offering to discuss the situation in Ukraine during the Council meeting.
"That was their whole interest, in whipping up propaganda and putting pressure on the Russian Federation. That's it, the issue is closed," Lavrov summed up.
Recall that in mid-October, Russia severed official relations with NATO.
