LIMA /Peru/, October 31. /tass/. The Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC) is negotiating with a number of Latin American companies on the organization of joint production of small arms. This was reported to TASS during the international arms exhibition SITDEF 2021 by the press service of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies.
"Negotiations are underway with a number of companies on the possibility of organizing joint production, but there are no firm agreements yet," the Kalashnikov Group said.
As noted in the press service, the GC is ready to consider the possibility of organizing joint production of small arms in Latin American countries, including Brazil. "Kalashnikov Group is ready to consider the issues of organizing licensed production in Latin American countries, for example, in Brazil," Kalashnikov reported.
The GC stressed that in the near future a plant for the production of Kalashnikov assault rifles of the hundredth series will open in Venezuela.
The International Salon of Defense Technologies SITDEF 2021 will be held until October 31 at the general Headquarters of the Army in Lima. The exhibition has been held every two years since 2007.
