On Thursday, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation held a conference where they summed up the results of the Army International Games of 2021 and told how they plan to organize competitions for ARMI-2022.
Representatives of the defense departments of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Serbia and Sri Lanka participated in the conference via video link. Military attaches from more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America were also invited to the conversation.
"We hope that next year the geography of countries wishing to hold ArMI-2022 contests will only expand. The 2022 Army International Games will be held from August 13 to 27. During the Games, it is planned to hold more than 30 international competitions with the maximum expansion of their geography to 15 countries," said the chief judge of this year's Games, Major General Alexander Peryazev.
The Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation recalled that according to the results of the ArMI-21 medals of various denominations were won by representatives of 17 countries. The first team place was won by the Russian national team. Our military took 20 first places, 13 second and 4 third. The second was the team of Uzbekistan, the third was the military from China. "During the games, the servicemen of Russia, Belarus, India, China and Uzbekistan set 33 records of the Army International Games," the department reported.
They added that 277 teams from 42 countries participated in 34 ArMI - 2021 competitions on the territory of 11 states.
