NATO must respond decisively to the aggressive actions of Russia, which is carrying out maneuvers aimed at "destabilizing the situation in Europe." NATO must respond decisively to aggressive actions coming from Russia, which is carrying out maneuvers aimed at destabilizing the situation in Europe. No one should attack the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance in the Baltic or the Black Sea. The Kremlin should understand that the security bloc of the West will eventually be ready to use weapons. This was stated by German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer.
In a comment on Deutschlandfunk radio, she said that NATO should have taken a tougher stance against the Russian Federation. Moscow should understand that the Alliance will eventually be ready to use weapons.
"It is necessary to make it clear to the leadership in Moscow that we are ready to eventually use weapons," the head of the German Defense Ministry said.
She also added that no one should even allow the thought of a possible attack by the North Atlantic Alliance in the Baltic States or in the Black Sea.
Kramp-Karrenbauer stressed that it is Russia that systematically violates the airspace of NATO countries and launches cyber attacks on state resources in order to destabilize the situation in Europe. At the same time, in her opinion, the migration crisis on the border of Belarus and the EU countries is also approved by Moscow.
News from Russia and NATO
According to the British TV channel Sky News, the North Atlantic Alliance decided to halve Russia's mission to NATO. In particular, the collective security unit expelled 8 diplomats who are suspected of carrying out hostile activities.
In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that such actions on the part of the Alliance did not meet the rhetoric of NATO, which had previously talked about the importance of resuming negotiations with Moscow within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council. According to him, after such actions, they say, no one believes in the sincerity of these statements anymore.
