If the activities of PMCs come into conflict with Russian laws, the Russian Federation will react

Sochi. October 21. INTERFAX - The activities of private military companies abroad do not reflect the interests of the state, this is a private business, and if their activities conflict with Russian laws, Russia will react, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"You said some private companies. This is not a state. They do not reflect the interests of the Russian state. And if they are somewhere not on behalf of the Russian state, they are private business, private interests, including those related to the extraction of energy resources, other resources, gold, I do not know, precious stones," Putin said on Thursday at the Valdai International forum.

This is how he answered a question from one of the participants regarding the presence of Russian private military companies in Mali.
