Roskomnadzor recognized the successful exercises that took place within the framework of the law on the sovereign Runet. The head of Roskomnadzor, Andrey Lipov, said that the communication networks are ready for stable operation under any external influences:
Lipov stressed that the purpose of the exercises is to check the readiness of communication networks or sections of communication networks for certain deviations in operation. He noted that if at the time of the exercises something "is modeled, some situation, it is modeled precisely so that in the case when it actually arises," it can be dealt with.
The head of Roskomnadzor also added that in addition to operators, other representatives of the industry took part in the exercises. Despite this, the exercises announced by Lipov, according to experts, cannot be considered legitimate. All because by December 1, 2020, the Ministry of Finance had to approve the schedule of exercises for 2021.
This was stated by the author of the Telegram channel "Escher II" at the end of last year. The deadline for approval was November 30, 2020, but the deadline is overdue and the schedule has not been approved. It was supposed to appear on the Roskomnadzor website no later than 5 working days after its approval, that is, the deadline for posting was December 7, 2020.
