MOSCOW, October 20. /tass/. The units of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes (ZRPC) involved in the joint exercises "Slavic Shield - 2021" in Serbia have been returned to Russian territory. This was reported on Wednesday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"The aerospace forces have completed the transfer of the Pantsir-S missile defense system to the territory of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Serbia, where the latest air defense systems took part in the joint Russian-Serbian air defense exercises Slavic Shield - 2021," the ministry said.
The Ministry noted that the delivery of the ZRPC "Pantsir-S" was carried out by aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
It is also reported that upon arrival on the Russian territory, the units of the ZRPC "Pantsir-S" marched to the points of permanent deployment and, after carrying out maintenance of the equipment, began to carry out combat duty on air defense in the established areas of responsibility.
"Pantsir-S" is a self-propelled short-range anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex. Equipped with 12 anti-aircraft missiles and two twin 30 mm cannons. Combat crew - three people. Weight - 30 tons.
