The military of Russia and Egypt practiced landing without parachutes from a mock-up of the Mi-8 helicopter, they descended on cables, firing blank cartridges on the move. This was told in the Ministry of Defense of Russia on Wednesday, October 20.
The event was held within the framework of the exercise "Defenders of Friendship - 2021".

The Defenders of Friendship — 2021 exercises are held from October 17 to 29. They involve a combined unit with a total of more than 500 military personnel, as well as military transport aircraft Il-76md of the Russian Aerospace Forces and C-130 "Hercules" with heavy military transport helicopters "Chinook" of the Egyptian Air Force.
