Assistant Secretary of Defense of the United States held talks in Uzbekistan on border security

Tashkent. October 18. INTERFAX - US Assistant Secretary of Defense Christopher Mayer discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and border security in Tashkent, US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum said on Monday.

"I am very glad to take part in productive negotiations on bilateral cooperation and discuss border security issues in the last few days with the government of Uzbekistan during the visit of an interdepartmental delegation headed by Assistant Secretary of Defense Christopher Mayer," Rosenblum wrote on Twitter.

The diplomat did not provide any other details of the negotiations.
