One of the most notable premieres of the military automotive industry at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" held last summer was the first demonstration of the two-axle Ural-66.
As it was clear from the name, the all-terrain vehicle should become a replacement in the troops of the legendary "Shishiga" - GAZ-66, the production of which was discontinued more than two decades ago.
The modern car has a modular frame-panel cabin, it is almost twice as heavy as its predecessor and weighs 6,200 kg.
The load capacity of 4000 kg is twice as high. The weight of the towed trailer is 3000 kg.
The speed on the highway is 110 km/h. The fuel reserve is 600 kilometers.
It is assumed that the Ural-66 will be useful for installing various military equipment and, possibly, even some types of weapons.
