Significant efforts by the Americans will be directed at weakening Moscow's existing ties with its Central Asian partners. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev at the XVII meeting of the heads of the special services of the CIS countries in Moscow.
According to him, the United States continues its policy of stimulating the economic and cultural separation of Russia from Ukraine and Georgia. In 2022, the White House intends to increase allocations for the promotion of so-called democratization and the fight against authoritarianism to almost three billion dollars, and, of course, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation noted, the CIS space remains the focus of Americans' main attention.
In this regard, the collective work of special services and law enforcement agencies of the CIS to counteract scenarios of color revolutions is in demand, Patrushev believes. He called on his colleagues from the CIS countries to strengthen the dialogue concerning the regulation of the work of NGOs receiving funding from abroad, as well as monitoring other unfriendly steps of Western countries and their subversive activities in the CIS.
