Belgrade. October 12. INTERFAX - The Serbian army continues to modernize based on the Russian Federation, the parties can reach new agreements, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botan-Kharchenko told Interfax.
"The Serbs rely largely on cooperation with us in the modernization of their army, despite the fact that there are many dissatisfied people around. Serbia relies exclusively on international law, it does not threaten anyone," the ambassador said on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Partner exhibition in Belgrade.
"Here we can hope that there will be new agreements or, at least, new vectors on which agreements can be reached in the future. The sphere of very active development," the ambassador said.
Commenting on the visits to Belgrade by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the ambassador said that together we can expect accelerated progress on a number of projects.
"This exhibition of our structures, our companies, Rosoboronexport, naturally fits very well into this context," the ambassador said.
