More than 500 servicemen from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan will be involved in practical actions
YEKATERINBURG, October 12. /TASS/. The Syrian combat experience will be the basis for the actions of Russian servicemen at the special exercises "eChelon-2021" with the forces and means of logistical support of the collective forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), which will be held in Tajikistan in October. This was announced to journalists on Tuesday by the deputy commander of the Central Military District (CVO) for logistics, Lieutenant General Alexei Lemyakin.
"During the exercise, we will work out a wide range of logistical tasks for the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO, taking into account the experience of armed conflicts of our time, including in the Syrian Arab Republic and Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.
According to Lemyakin, the units will perform combat training tasks for the deployment of storage infrastructure facilities, field points for mass refueling of equipment, evacuation of damaged armored vehicles from the battlefield, delivery of materiel, ammunition and other logistical and technical support issues.
More than 500 servicemen from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan will be involved in practical actions.
In October, joint exercises with the military contingents of the CSTO member states "Interaction", "Search" and "eChelon" will be held on the territory of Tajikistan near the border with Afghanistan, which will involve more than 2.7 thousand military personnel. The eChelon exercises, which are scheduled for October 18-23, will be held in Tajikistan for the first time.
