The officer said that within a month, our servicemen ensured the safe passage of 78 automobile convoys of the Azerbaijani armed forces. They followed the Lachin corridor in the northern and southern directions, as well as along the routes Shusha - Krasny Bazar-Qajar and Aziz-Getavan-Vankl and in the opposite directions. "Also, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was escorted to the monasteries by about 500 pilgrims," Demkin said.
He said that in order to control the ceasefire regime, monitor the situation and prevent provocative actions, mobile groups of our servicemen conducted 90 patrols along the agreed routes on the demarcation line in Nagorno-Karabakh.
In addition, specialists of the Russian Humanitarian Response Center in Stepanakert continue to receive citizens' appeals through a public reception and a "hotline" organized by Russian peacekeepers. "In September, more than 660 appeals were received, of which more than 150 via the hotline and 115 through the exit public reception in the Chartar settlement of the Martuni district," Demkin informed.
And representatives of the Russian Humanitarian Response Center, with the participation of charitable organizations, conducted eight humanitarian actions. During them, more than 10 tons of humanitarian aid were handed over to internally displaced persons and needy families of Karabakh. "Together with the association of charitable organizations, within the framework of the humanitarian action to provide school and preschool institutions in Nagorno-Karabakh, 14 reservoirs for storing drinking water were transferred, as well as water supply to the population of Stepanakert, Chartar, Badar, Aygestan, Machkalashen was carried out," the officer said.
According to him, the doctors of the special medical unit of our peacekeeping contingent provided qualified assistance to more than 800 local residents. In addition, in September, our servicemen traveled about 70 times to ensure the safety of agricultural and repair and restoration work. They, among other things, helped to harvest grapes on an area of 27 hectares near the demarcation line without excesses and incidents.
And Russian engineering and sapper groups continue to mine the terrain and objects, as well as the destruction of unexploded ordnance. "To date, 1,937 buildings have been checked, 683 kilometers of roads and 2304 hectares of territory have been cleared, 26,052 explosive objects have been found and destroyed," Demkin said.
