MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. Unique thermal imagers, which will allow conducting reconnaissance at a distance of up to 4 km, began to be supplied to the units of the Russian border service. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the holding "Roselectronics" (part of Rostec).
"In 2020, the sYch-3PS thermal imager, developed by the Central Research Institute Cyclone (part of Roselectronics), was accepted for supply. In 2021, deliveries of these thermal imagers to the border service units began," the holding said.
The novelty allows you to recognize a person at a distance of up to 1.5 km at any time of the day in any weather, and a passenger car at a distance of 4 km.
As specified in the press service, this development has no domestic analogues. The device combines the functions of a thermal imager, a TV and a stadiometric rangefinder, and also has a digital magnetic compass and a satellite navigation system.
