Beijing will have every opportunity for a full-scale invasion of Taiwan by 2025. This was stated at a meeting in parliament by the island's Defense Minister Qiu Guozheng on Wednesday, October 6.
"At the moment, the Chinese Communist Party already has the capabilities to invade Taiwan, but the island does not carry out any provocations. However, by 2025, the CPC will have all the possibilities for a full-scale invasion," the minister's words are quoted by Reuters.
Qiu Guozheng stressed that Taiwan's Defense Ministry should carry out the necessary military preparations.
This statement was caused by the fact that the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) has sent a total of almost 150 military aircraft to the shores of Taiwan since October 1.
So, on October 2, the Chinese Air Force carried out a mass flight to the waters of Taiwan, breaking its own record for the number of aircraft involved. 39 air transport units took part in the operation.
On October 6, the President of the United States Joe Biden said that he had discussed Taiwan with the President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Xi Jinping. Biden said that both sides continue to comply with the Taiwan agreement.
