The Azerbaijani Defense Minister discussed the situation in the region with the new commander of the Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh

Baku. September 27. INTERFAX-AZERBAIJAN - Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov on Tuesday received the new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in the temporary deployment zone on the territory of Azerbaijan in Karabakh, Lieutenant-General Gennady Anashkin.

As reported, Anashkin replaced Major General Mikhail Kosobokov in this post.

"Hasanov and Anashkin discussed the situation in the temporary deployment zone of Russian peacekeepers," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports.
