Nur-Sultan. September 25. INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN-President of Kazakhstan - Supreme Commander-in-Chief Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has approved a new Concept for the construction and development of the Armed Forces, according to the website of the head of state.

"The basis for its development was the modern military-political situation, taking into account the forecasts of its development in the long term, as well as the trends of military construction in foreign countries," the message published on Saturday says.

The concept includes the basic principles and approaches for the construction and development of military security bodies until 2030.

The activities of the Concept are aimed at increasing the defense capability of the state, ensuring the combat readiness of the Armed Forces, other troops and military formations, including expanding the capabilities for actions in crisis situations.

"For the first time in the history of Kazakhstan, it is planned to form elements of an effective aerospace and missile defense system. Taking into account the vast territory of the country and the length of the borders, measures are envisaged to increase the mobility of troops by increasing the forces and means of military transport aviation, " the report says.

Priority attention is also given to the development of special operations forces.

As part of the digitalization of all spheres of life, the potential of the Armed Forces for actions in the cyber and information space will be increased.

"The development of" dual-use components " is planned, that is, those that can be used both in wartime and in peacetime, including for eliminating the consequences of emergency situations. These are, first of all, military medicine, radiation, chemical and biological protection troops, engineering troops, military transport aviation," the report says.

In order to ensure combat readiness, optimal deployment of military units, the creation of military infrastructure, as well as ensuring the safety of the population, a gradual transition to the formation of integrated military bases with appropriate infrastructure is planned.
