Moscow. September 22. INTERFAX-The special services of the Collective Security Treaty Organization countries will hold anti-drug exercises "Thunder-2021" in Armenia from September 24 to 28, CSTO press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov said.
"From September 24 to 28 this year, a special exercise" Thunder-2021" will be held on the territory of the Republic of Armenia with special units of anti - drug services, internal affairs bodies and special services of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (FSSN CSR) that are part of the special forces formations, " he said.
According to him, during the first phase, combined special forces groups of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states and the Armenian Armed Forces will work out training and applied tasks in mountainous areas with difficult terrain.
"In the process of solving training tasks, special forces from the CSTO member states, together with units of the Armed Forces and Border Troops of Armenia, will work out interaction, gain experience and skills to participate in a special operation in conditions as close as possible to combat," Zainetdinov said.
He noted that during the second phase of the exercise, tactical shooting competitions from combat weapons will be held, and practical actions of consolidated operational combat groups of special forces will also be played out when solving tasks for their intended purpose.
