The missiles of the Ukrainian Neptune and Alder complexes can receive new combat units that will increase the capacity of ammunition. The company "Spetsoboronmash" has mastered the vacuum-lump technology of forming explosive charges, which increases the damaging effect of ammunition. The press service of Ukroboronprom, which includes Spetsoboronmash, announced the purchase of new equipment. This will make it possible to produce more effective combat parts of missiles and other ammunition. The new technology provides the most dense filling of the product with an explosive substance, which enhances the damaging effect of ammunition.
The equipment for vacuum-lump filling will increase the power of the combat units of the B-360 anti-ship missiles of the RK-360MC "Neptune" complex, Defense Express writes. This method is also suitable for other types of ammunition, including adjustable projectiles of the multiple launch rocket system "Alder", the authors of the publication believe.
The rocket of the Neptune complex was developed by the Luch State Design Bureau on the basis of the Soviet X-35 rocket. In 2021, prototypes of the RK-360MC "Neptune" complex entered service with the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
Earlier, Oleg Korostelev, General Director of the Luch State Design Bureau, spoke about the possibility of creating a modification of the Neptune missile for hitting ground targets. The representative of the State Security Committee stressed that to create such a missile, a technical task from the defense department is necessary.
