INTERFAX-Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, speaking in New York as part of the High-level Dialogue on Ensuring the Security of the People of Afghanistan, drew the attention of the international community to the crimes of militants of the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) in Panjshir province.
"In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs drew special attention to the difficult situation of the population of Panjshir province, where the Taliban are not only engaged in crime, but also subject civilians to torture and torture. In this regard, international organizations and influential countries were called upon to stop this lawlessness as soon as possible by facilitating the opening of roads to provide humanitarian aid to the residents of Panjshir and other regions of Afghanistan," the website of the Tajik Foreign Ministry reports.
It is noted that in his speech, Muhriddin, explaining the position of Tajikistan on the situation in Afghanistan, stated the need to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan and ensure the right of women and girls to education, as well as the creation of an inclusive government with the participation of representatives of all ethnic groups, especially Tajiks, who make up 46% of the population of this country.
