According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, to conclude a contract, citizens apply to military enlistment offices with an application, and also undergo a medical examination.
"Russian citizens who are fit for health reasons, with an education of at least 9 classes, can join the ranks of reservists of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The age restrictions are 42 years - for ensigns, sergeants and soldiers, 52-for junior officers and 57 - for seniors, " the military department said.
They noted that the first contract for enrollment in the reserve is for three years. Then the contract can be re-signed for another 5 years, or until the age limit of the serviceman is reached.
The first training camps with the BARS units will be held in the second half of September. For the upcoming training camps with reservists, 23 facilities have been deployed at 9 training grounds of the district, 240 officers and sergeants have been selected to lead the classes. To maintain high combat readiness, reservists will undergo training sessions on a monthly basis, and military training camps once a year.
During classes and training camps, reservists will be provided with three meals a day, they are guaranteed free medical care and life and health insurance. In addition, they are provided with uniforms for free during their service, and during military training they are released from work or study with the preservation of their place and salary. "In addition to his main earnings at the place of permanent work, the reservist receives a monetary allowance for participating in training camps and trainings. In peacetime, reservists will protect particularly important military and state facilities, maintain law and order, and eliminate the consequences of natural hazards.
