North and South Korea are "measured" with missiles. Yesterday, on September 15, the two countries conducted demonstration launches of ballistic missiles, aggravating the already difficult situation in their relations.
According to the Japanese Coast Guard, the DPRK fired two supposedly ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan. They traveled about 500 miles (800 km) and fell outside of Japanese territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone. South Korea classified the launches of its northern neighbor as short-range ballistic missiles. In the southern part of the peninsula, just a few hours after the launch of North Korean ballistic missiles, the Republic of Korea conducted repeated tests of a ballistic missile from the Dosan Ahn Chang-ho submarine. In addition, South Korea has published a video with tests of its new four types of missiles.

Last weekend, North Korea also launched cruise missiles. According to state media reports of the DPRK, the ammunition, called "strategic weapons", has traveled 930 miles (1,500 km), "which makes it possible to hit targets throughout Japan."
