MOSCOW, 15 Sep-RIA Novosti. There are no Russian military personnel on the territory of Mali, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
"There are no representatives of the Russian armed forces there, and no official negotiations are being conducted. We proceed from this, " Peskov told reporters in response to a question whether the Kremlin has information about negotiations between the authorities of Mali and the Wagner PMCs.
When asked whether the Minister of Defense of Mali raised the issue of providing military assistance during his visit to Russia, Peskov replied that Russia maintains contacts, including through the military, with many countries, including the African continent.
"But there are no - I repeat again-there are no Russian military there," he stressed.
