Candidates for cosmonauts of the set of 2021 are starting one of the most difficult stages of general space training (OKP).
Each of the test participants will have to spend three days in a sign language chamber, while 64 hours-without sleep. The first was cosmonaut candidate Alexander Kolyabin.
The on-duty team of specialists of the Cosmonaut Training Center (psychologist, doctor, engineer) will observe around the clock how their wards endure the conditions of isolation, almost continuously engaged in various activities.
According to the cyclogram, cosmonaut candidates need to perform numerous tasks within the framework of psychological testing, participate in medical examinations, exercise, conduct oral reports and a diary, demonstrate creative abilities (drawing and modeling on a given topic, origami, songwriting, etc.). Almost half of the total time will be spent on psychological tests, the main task is to study the neuropsychic stability of cosmonaut candidates.
Of course, the one who passes the test in the sign language chamber has personal time. It is spent on hygiene procedures, eating and doing things to your liking. At the same time, for example, it is forbidden to watch movies or listen to music in a sign language camera, despite the presence of a computer.
You will not be able to use a smartphone or tablet, you can not take electronic devices with you. But you can collect puzzles, solve a crossword puzzle, play musical instruments, read. Although the latter is just not recommended.
