Hong Kong. September 15. INTERFAX - North Korea has launched two ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan, the Yonhap news agency reports.
According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), North Korea launched two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan on Wednesday.
South Korea, together with the US military, is analyzing the details of the launch.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea reported that the military is on high alert.
The Japanese government also said earlier that a ballistic missile may have been launched from the DPRK. The government noted that it is collecting information about the launch.
Earlier, North Korea announced successful tests of a new type of long-range cruise missiles, the Yonhap news agency reported.
