Moscow. September 14. INTERFAX-The income of the Russian military should grow taking into account the situation in the economy and the level of inflation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"In particular, this concerns the monetary maintenance and payments to military pensioners, we have repeatedly discussed this topic, there are issues that we need to think about in order not to reduce the level of income of military personnel, but on the contrary, regularly raise it in accordance with the current situation in the economy, macroeconomics, inflation, and so on. We will continue this work further, " Putin said on Tuesday at a meeting with the government and the leadership of the United Russia party.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at the meeting that all Russian servicemen received one-time payments of 15 thousand rubles, pensioners of the armed forces-10 thousand rubles.
"I know that the Ministry of Defense and you always pay great attention to social issues, social support for servicemen and their families. A lot has been done to provide both permanent and service housing. The issues are being resolved fairly quickly, but there is still something to work on. In this sense, I would ask you to continue to pay the necessary attention to this area, " Putin said in response.
