The Kalashnikov Group has developed a new machine gun from the AK-12 family.
- The weapon was created on an initiative basis. AK-12SP is characterized by improved ergonomics and a set of technical solutions that increase the efficiency of the machine. The design of the components that ensure the reliability of the AK remained unchanged, " the press service of the holding told TASS.
The AK-12SP butt is equipped with a light folding cheek - it helps to ensure the optimal position of the shooter's head when firing with optical sights. Also, the machine is adapted for use by both right-handed and left-handed people - a two-way fuse-translator of the fire mode is installed for this.
As an additional option, the weapon can be equipped with Picatinny bars and M-Lok for mounting attachments.
The AK-12SP submachine gun was first presented at the Army-2021 . The weight of the weapon without a magazine and accessories is 3.6 kg, the muzzle velocity of the bullet is 900 m / s, the rate of fire is 700 rounds per minute.
